Pounders’ Family House Fire Fund
On the morning of June 16th, 2020, my sister, Rachel and her husband, Justin were awoken by the sound of their fire alarm going off at 1:15am. The fire started on their deck, next to my niece, Stephanie’s bedroom. The fire moved quickly, ravaging Steph’s room and everything in it except for a few small items. Luckily, Justin, Rachel, Josie, and Stephanie were able to escape the house unharmed. Their animals were able to flee to safety as well, but one of their cats is still out and about, probably frightened by what happened. Most of the first floor isn’t salvageable and their finished basement where my mom lives has water and smoke damage. Any help would be appreciated. They have no clothes except for the clothes they left the house in. Their house is unlivable and will need to be completely gutted and rebuilt, displacing them for the foreseeable future.
These photos were taken by my husband, a police officer in Bellevue, who happened to be working the night of the fire and was on the scene immediately to help them.
