Cotgrave FC Family Statement

We at Cotgrave FC are absolutely devastated to share some heartbreaking news. Our wonderful ball-playing defender Samuel Dunn and his partner Melissa recently suffered the unimaginable loss of their child due to a premature birth.

Our thoughts, love, and deepest condolences go out to Samuel and Melissa during this incredibly difficult time. As part of our football family, we want them to know they are not alone — the entire Cotgrave community stands with them.

In an incredible show of support, teammate and all-round Cotgrave hero Lee Potts has decided to take on Movember, raising money for a charity close to Samuel and Melissa’s hearts — one that helps families affected by premature birth and baby loss.

We’ll be sharing details soon on how you can donate, get involved, and show your support. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference and help honour the memory of their little one.

Let’s rally together as a community — for Samuel, for Melissa, and for every family who’s had to face such heartbreak.
