My name is Donovan Page. My wife and I started PHR as a way to help a couple of guys We knew to get sober in May of 2020 and to honor a friend who committed suicide as a result of his illness. We started out as a basic men's sober living house in a local neighborhood of Florence, South Carolina. We have tried and continue to try and keep our cost of services as inexpensive as possible.
I'm asking for help from my friends, family and network to raise funds for our Second phase of Potter Houses growth. We are opening a 90 day recovery program for men and women that focuses on personal accountability and a self supporting lifestyle. Please check out our social media sites above. Also a brief accounting of PHR follows.
The disease of addiction is brutal, merciless and unforgiving. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Nicole and I have had friends dropping like flies and dying due to this disease. I struggled with this disease for my entire adult life. Through a series of circumstances I can only attribute to the God of my understanding. I came to Florence, to a recovery community that focused on the spiritual solution found in a 12 step program. I found that solution and hope to help others find their solution.
The funds collected will be used for deposits, insurance payments, food, supplies, bill payments etc..

Potter House Recovery is a recovery residence that utilizes an effective approach to guiding, understanding and implementing the A.A. 12 step program into all aspects of life. It is from our own personal experiences that we believe individuals suffering from substance use disorder can achieve freedom through peer support coupled with comprehension and completion of the 12 steps of A.A.
Our Mission
Potter House Recovery aims to inspire hope to the hopeless through shared values, education and empathy.
Our Place
Potter House Recovery is a Recovery Community located in downtown Florence, South Carolina. Residents will be monitored by staff 24 hours a day as an effort to always ensure their safety and well-being.
Overview
Substance Use Disorder destroys the lives of those who suffer from it, along with the lives of the loved ones that choose to stick around. Many people will never win the battle and end up institutionalized, incarcerated or deceased. Potter House Recovery offers a solution to recover from tragic ends or consequences of substance abuse. Our experienced and trained staff provides guidance, hope and healing from a disease without discrimination. A spiritual solution is validated by real life experiences shared and taught through the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. With daily application of these steps and principles, an open-mind, and a humble spirit, we believe success is inevitable.
