Cody Potter was involved in a head on collision around 5PM on January 31st, 2020.  He was traveling home from work to see his 4 month old daughter and wife, when he was struck head on by an oncoming vehicle less than 2 miles from his home.  Tragically the 17 year old male driver of the other vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.  Cody was transported via ambulance to a local hospital with serious non life threatening injuries. 

Witnesses told investigators that the Mercedes the teen had been driving was heading south on NE 72nd Ave and crossed the center line, directly into the path of a northbound Ford van. Both cars hit one another head-on.

Cody suffered a very serious left ankle injury which will require multiple surgeries to repair and keep him off his feet and out of work for months.  Cody is a self employed contractor with a 4 month old daughter and wife who depend on him.  Cody was traveling in his work van which has been totaled and many of his tools damaged.  

If anyone knows Cody, you know he is one of the hardest working, most helpful individuals, he is the first to lend a hand and the last person to ask for help.  During this time he is going to need help covering medical expenses, lost time for work while he cannot operate his business, replacing his work van and tools, and everyday expenses for him and his family while he recovers.
