Potentialist Workshop
PW fosters the development of aspiring and established artists in areas of playwriting, choreography, acting, performing, singing, dancing, painting, filming, sculpting and creating music. We help make creative dreams spring to life!
Our 10,000 sq ft venue includes an art gallery, performance theate, artist studios, healing arts resources, and sculpture garden.
Funding our campaign will provide us resources to fix our building (like new studio and gallery lights, paint, electrical work), plant our outdoor sculpture garden, send traveling artists on our Roadshows, and for creating free local events.
PW 2016
Since September of 2015, we have had great success at our newest location, 836 E. 2nd St, Reno. We have produced 4 original plays, held a dozen or more concerts, and hosted multiple group art shows, including artists from Niyo Gallery in Rwanda, Africa.
We now have over 10 artists in our studios, 3 in-house bands, a psychic, masseuse, and even a hypnotherapist.
This year, we are taking the Potentialist group on the road for our Roadshow exchange project. We will bring art to San Fran, Chicago, Atlanta, Austin and end the year in Miami for Art Basil.
Next year, it is our goal to spread the Potentialist experience overseas to Rwanda, Isreal and parts of Europe in a cultural exchange inciting creative behavior for global arts revolution.
Exploring the creative potential of individuals and communities is the main principle driving our mission. PW works closely with local to international galleries, dance and theater groups, non-profits, social activists groups, and musicians linking creative resources with changemakers.
So far, PW has created more than 15 original works from our Black Light Puppet Ballet to a social awareness project titled, Ali. We are also responsible for several large murals, sculptures and community art spaces around Reno and the North West.
The Potentialist is not limited to the arts, as we also host independent film screenings, parties, recitals, discussion forums, and other creative concepts you can develop.
Potentialism is a concept and movement defined by Pan Pantoja as the dissolution of boundaries between mediums, where poems become plays and paintings become songs.
Clips of some of our projects can be found on our YouTube Channel. More information and posters of previous shows can be found on our website.Thank you and much love!
