Potato's dental surgery

Spanish translation below:

It it was deep sadness that I am asking the general public, my friends and my family to help me pay for Potato's dental surgery.

On Tuesday november 19th Potato (or Papitas) stopped eating. She had trouble walking, and I watched her fall as she jumped on my couch. On Wednesday I took her to the vet and on Friday November 22nd I took her in for surgery.

It turns out, Papitas is a male, has arthritis, a heart murmur and an infection in her only remaining canine-like front tooth. After many tests (blood, x-rays) , she was ready for surgery.

Unfortunately Potato had two instances of cardiac arrest when administered with anesthsia. Yes. She died twice. The vet has informed me that her tooth has puss and still needs to be removed and is recommending that I pay for an anesthesiologist and have a cardiologist check her heart to make sure we're alright before we try again.

An x-ray has been taken of her abdomen and it seems like Potato has larger than normal heart, and is of course overweight. But hey, we all knew that. The vet has informed that this is the only surgery she will need in her life.

Honestly,

I have been saving money for my album since the summer, and I spent every single dollar in my account to pay for this surgery. I have nothing left to try again. Potato has been with me through university, breakups, depression, apartments, as well as every beautiful moment of my life. This is the being I love the most on planet Earth and I am trying everything in my power to make the rest of her life as comfortable as I can.

I need to delay my travel plans, but I’d like to attempt another surgery to remove her infected tooth before December 14. This way she can be rid of her pain as quickly as possible and I can still fly to Mexico after her operation either to mourn her loss with my loved ones, or content knowing that when I return Potato will be a healthy, slightly overweight, geriatric, arthritic but alive cat.
