Potato Bears Need a Hand Sometimes
Few things bring me more joy than my cats, Fergus and Francie. They both had a rough start in life and require treatment for multiple medical issues, yet they're the happiest and most loving little beans you could ever meet. Every single day they bring me comfort, laughter, inspiration, and love while asking for next-to-nothing in return. They are magical.
Every shelter pet has these gifts inside and just needs a chance to share them! The only thing that brings me almost as much joy as Fergus and Francie is helping other homeless animals find their opportunity to flourish. Right now that means raising funds for a wonderful local shelter, the Humane Society of Chittenden County. Not only do they take in animals from our region, they're a destination shelter for dogs and cats from high-volume shelters throughout the southeast United States. In addition, they have a Rainy Day Fund to help low-income Vermonters with sudden catastrophic vet bills and community pet clinics where local residents can get low cost veterinary exams, vaccines, flea-tick treatments, spaying/neutering, and more for their pets. You can learn all about them here: https://www.hsccvt.org
Please consider chipping in if you are in a position to do so! Honestly any little bit is appreciated. It adds up. This fundraiser will run until my birthday, June 27. Thank you so much!
