As you may or may not know, Troy recently underwent bowel transplant surgery. The result of the surgery is that Troy now has a fully functioning digestive system, including the small bowel and colon. He has since spent 6 weeks at the UCLA Medical Center recovering from the initial procedures.
That said, the chance of organ rejection means that Troy must remain close to UCLA for the first 6-8 weeks after his discharge from the hospital. UCLA has an on-campus patient housing facility that provides a shuttle to get to appointments at the transplant clinic each week for blood work, weekly biopsies, etc.
Anything you can do to help fund Troy’s temporary housing and the maximum co-pay for his procedures will be greatly appreciated. God bless.
