Post-Surgery Support: Help fund Becca's Rest & Healing.

Hi there, folks. *takes deep breath...*

If I'm sharing this with you, we are very close, or you're a trusted friend, fellow, person in my life that I deeply appreciate (whether we talk all the time or not). Some of you may know I had a Pulmonary Embolism (Blood Clot in my Lung) in November. While it was scary, I was VERY lucky at how small the clots were and that I caught it. This was a big wakeup call to look at my health, quality of life, etc.

After much deliberation and careful consideration, along with the recommendations of trusted doctors/therapists in my life, I've decided to get Bariatric Surgery. This is scary, exciting, and for me, going to be a life-changing experience.

That being said, I am currently self-employed and starting a new company...Which is awesome.

While things are going very well, I'm definitely going to need time off of work (which is also very scary when you're self-employed).

I was collecting unemployment due to a layoff, but this will run out end of April, and my surgery is scheduled for mid-May; I'll have 0 safety net/income for the weeks I cannot work at least a few weeks.

Thankfully, I DO work for myself, so I'll be able to rest and heal for as long or little as it takes. This number will ensure that money won't be an issue and I can really, really take the time to rest. It'll also go towards the supplies it takes to recover (which you'll read below). The GOOD news is, recovery time is pretty quick (a few weeks), but I'd be so grateful to really settle in for a month and take care of my new body.

I set a goal that would not only cover my rent, but also help in gathering the supplies I'll need after surgery. (Protein Shakes, Soups, Wedge Pillows, Vitamins, TV/Bed Tray (for meals/also working a bit from my laptop), workout gear, and scar tape.
