Replace Postman Chris’ Bike

Our local longstanding postman Chris has had his E-bike that he relies on to get him from his home in Acomb to Birch Park to do his job was stolen from the post office compound, he’d popped into the sorting office, just doing his job and yes it was locked with a heavy duty motorbike lock, someone wearing a hoodie had used an angle grinder to remove the lock and stole his bike which he paid £1,900 for, the police have been informed but it’s unlikely he’ll see it again. I’m angry for him-and I know how hard he works; in all weathers - I wondered if anyone would like to contribute to a fund to help him buy a replacement. I’m a big believer in you reap what you sow, Chris is always cheery, always has a pocket full of dog treats, and he’s a lovely fella.
