Leslie Shears, Mgr. of The Blue Crow Antique Mall

I have had the pleasure of getting to know and work with Leslie for about 5 years. I know her to be a great manager to all who work here. She is devoted to the owners, fellow workers, dealers and the customers. She has great energy and keeps us all flowing around here at the "Crow".

You would never know that this bright energetic person has a chronic medical condition known as M.S. (Multiple Sclerosis). When this disease attacks there is NO warning. In the past she has been able to bounce back rather quickly. This time during an attack she was also attacked by Shingles. The Shingles then attacked her left eye. Nerve pain strikes past her eye into her brain. The extreme nerve pain renders her unable to sleep for any length of time. Headaches, along with nausea and vomiting keeps her weak and unsteady on her feet. She has a nurse coming in home to administer medication every two hours. Due to the dizzy spells she has, her husband has had to take leave from his job without pay to take care of her.

Our employer, Mrs. Ellie Cackowski has been paying Leslie full pay. She has been unable to work for 5 weeks, with hospital stays, emergency room visits, medication, in home aids part time, and related medical bills are mounting up along with the regular household expenses. The medical co-pays and monthly household expenses are difficult to manage on one income.

We, the staff, the owner, the dealers, her friends and family are asking for your help! Thank you so much from all of us who know and love her.

I have known Leslie for several years as a frequent flyer to Auctions back in the day, to Estate Sales that I have had (she worked sometimes) and at The Blue Crow. She is an all-around fantastic person and needs our help.
