Postie Bike challenge for Kids Cancer Support
Welcome to the MundAl 1000, I am Daniel Manester and together with my diverse bunch of friends, we are hoping to raise awareness and donations for The Kids Cancer support group (Perth) Incorporated. (KCSG)
On October 22nd 2023, our team of merry individuals will be completing a Postie Bike challenge, and this means we will be travelling nearly 1000kms, over 5 days via dirt and mud tracks, water crossings, in fact, some roads we may even need to carry the bikes along, but that's why it's called a challenge!
All the participants have bought their own Postie bike, prepped it for the challenge with all the necessary camping gear and supplies, and donated their time all in the hope to get as many donations together so the KCSG can continue doing the amazing work it does, for example, offering mum's retreats, dad's day out and support of children diagnosed with cancer and their siblings.
It's through all this they meet the purpose of connecting, supporting and enriching the lives of children with cancer and their families.
Being a small local Perth-based charity was important to us, also the KCSG is run by parents/caregivers who have experienced Childhood Cancer/Blood Disorders firsthand. They ‘get it’ and understand that everyone’s situation is unique. They provide tailored, practical and peer-to-peer support that meets the specific needs of the families. Their support is all-encompassing and is inclusive of the whole family starting at diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond.
Knowing that your donations, together with our efforts to bring awareness via the challenge ensure that we will make a big difference in the lives of these families affected by Childhood cancers.
Please join us in making a difference !
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me and our team of challengers !
