Hi, I’m Chrissy. I just returned home from a year-long deployment with the National Guard and instead of settling back into normal life, I’ve been met with one crisis after another.
Right now, my home is barely livable. A major sewer line failure has turned the basement into a construction zone. The total repair cost is $53,000, and insurance isn’t covering any of it. I’m working on applying for a state grant, but those funds will take time, if they come through at all. In the meantime, I’ve had to relocate plumbing access and move my kids into the living room just to manage.
Then, to make things harder, my car broke down while taking my son to an appointment. The estimated repair cost is around $2,000, and I simply don’t have the funds after everything else. I’ve even had to stay in a hotel for plumbing access because my home isn’t usable.
I’m setting a goal of $10,000 to help bridge this gap, just enough to get my car repaired and stay afloat while waiting on possible grant funding and funds I can get from selling items in my home.
I don’t like asking for help, but this season has brought me to my knees. If you can give, I’d be beyond grateful. And if you can’t, even sharing this helps more than you know.
Thank you for reading. Your support means everything right now.
