Hi my name is Julie and I am fundraising on behalf of the Kurzawa Family of Solon, Ohio.

Everything changed last week. This was when Jeff Kurzawa and his family received the news that Jeff has 7-8 weeks left to live. The cancer has spread to his brain fluid (from his diagnosis two years ago with Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma) and there is nothing left to be done. He is now suffering from Leptomeningeal Disease which resulted from his Melanoma.

For those of you who are not familiar with the Kurzawa Family, let me take a minute to introduce you. Carly and Jeff met while at Kenston High School. This December will mark their 25 year wedding anniversary. They have lived in Solon for the past twenty years where they have raised their beautiful children Kylie (who will graduate from Solon High School in May) and Carson (a Freshman at Solon High School). Jeff is an ARMY VETERAN and has spent the last 22 years working as a US POSTAL WORKER in Novelty, Ohio. Jeff can no longer work his job due to the complications from his illness and when his vacation time runs out in December, he will lose his benefits. Carly was let go from her job one month ago due to her missing time while she was driving Jeff to Pittsburgh and then Cincinnati for different drug trials.

This GoFundMe will help with all of their expenses as they enter this last final battle for Jeff to make it to his children's birthdays at the end of November, to spend one final Christmas with his family, and his birthday on January 2nd. If you know Jeff Kurzawa, you know that he has fought harder in the last two years since he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Metastatic Cancer than most people will ever fight in their lives. Everything he has gone through was so that he could be there for his family.

The stress for Jeff worrying about his family and how they will carry on without him has weighed heavily on him. The family will need help with medical expenses, living expenses, funeral expenses, and college for the kids.
