On May 5th 2023 my Nehemias and Celia were in a motorcycle accident and both suffered several injuries each. Nehemias fractured and dislocated his right elbow, fractured his left hand and wrist and injured his left knee. Celia suffered bleeding on her brain (even wearing a helmet), a busted top lip requiring 11 stitches and fractured her left foot in 4 different places. Nemo and Celia were told by their health insurance providers that their health coverage would not be able to cover the needed doctors visits because their injuries were caused by a motorcycle accident and they would have to self pay for all doctors visits, treatments and diagnostics.                                                                This is why we are asking for emergency help that they both need at this very time. We can only pray and ask if anyone is willing to help, please do, and we know you will be blessed in doing so. We thank you with our hearts and tears.                                    

Nemo and Celia crashed about 45 min away from home on a dark road with a serious turn. Street lights weren’t well lit up and the turn came up pretty fast. If you’ve ridden before you know how quickly things can change when on two wheels. Weight, movement and speed are huge factors when in control of a motorcycle and as experienced a rider Nemo is, he couldn’t get the turn quick enough and tried to make a last minute decision the best he knew and that would impact the both of their lives, they crashed and were thrown off the bike in different directions.                                                                                   
They were both knocked unconscious and were awaken by strangers in a field of grass where they landed until emergency personnel arrived. They were in and out of consciousness and taken to Tomball HCA Emergency Hospital. Celia spent the weekend from Friday to Monday and Nehemias was released early Saturday morning. Since the accident we have been having to go to doctors appointments at least 3-4 times a week between the both of us.

Celia is now having to see a weekly Wound Treatment Center until the wound on her broken left foot is healed and the broken bones are second priority until the wound is healed. After the wound is completely healed the doctor will revisit the broken bones and at that time it will be determined whether surgery will be needed or not. Hopefully not. Another CT scan of the brain will also be required for Celia one month after the accident to ensure the bleeding in her brain is no longer bleeding and has not gotten worse. Nehemias will require surgery on his right elbow as well as surgery on his left hand and wrist. Many CT scans and X-rays will have to be done for both of them as well as many follow up Dr appointments, medications and eventually physical therapy. Nemo is able to work part time light duty and Celia is at this time getting Short Term Disability through her employer so funds are extremely limited at this time.
