♥️ It has been year of change for so many, with shifts and new chapters across all areas of life. As adventures and plot twists created, the Halcyon animals faced similar changes while continuing to support individuals across generations, backgrounds, family and care systems, phases of grief, and all aspects of military service. With continued offerings both on farm and off property occurring due the aid of remarkable volunteers, and coupled with online support and distance check-ins, it’s been an inspirational year with the number of places and people that Halcyon animals (and individuals!) have impacted.

Youngest person: 2.5yo. Oldest: The new 29yo of early-70s. Most cuddled: Lightning and Ellie and Bryson (three-way tie). Furthest off-site visits: ~90 miles each way (will start clocking next year). Current Halcyon beasties on farm (not accounting for all farm residents): 7 horses/ponies, 1 donkey, 1 Pig Lebowski, 6 alpacas (+7 off-site critters on long-term free-leases to military/veterans-connected homes). With Shade cat passing last week, we are down to two certified therapy animals: Lightning and Ellie (but this should change in the coming months). 

Next year will embrace further growth with diverse populations of ages and challenges, further hospital and hospice work, and being present where needed. We’re genuinely grateful for all support in continuing to help sustain this realm for all individuals who need warmth, support, a friendly safe voice and spot to go, and time with a beastie who truly understands. Each and every penny goes directly to the Halcyon participants and animals in continuing to offer all that we can.♥️
