Hello fellow quarantiners, hope you are staying safe and healthy during these tough times! We’re a group of young professionals who feel extremely fortunate to have graduated into a robust job market a few years ago. In giving back, we want to support Class of 2020 undergraduates across the United States and build a better future together as 39M+ Americans have unfortunately lost their jobs since mid-March.
Through the Posicovidity Innovation Challenge, we are seeking online submissions from entrepreneurial college seniors to identify and financially support the best business ventures that will help many of our communities navigate this “new normal.” We have partnered with a panel of expert judges, spanning successful business founders, investors, advisors and mentors who our innovation finalists will have the opportunity to virtually present in front of.
What will social entrepreneurship do to alleviate the impacts of COVID-19? Given the reduction in employment opportunities, entrepreneurship has the potential to generate outsized impact for our communities. Ultimately, this initiative offers a unique way to bring together some of the most talented minds to improve public health, education, financial empowerment, and local entrepreneurship.
Here’s where these promising young entrepreneurs could use YOUR help: As we all know, successful organizations are challenging to build — sometimes the most difficult part is sourcing monetary support for app development, marketing, and scalable operations. As a token of our commitment to equipping the next generation of social entrepreneurs and problem-solvers, we’ve established this Innovation Challenge and personally pledged 10,000 USD to kick off the related fundraising effort.
