Hi. My name is Posh and this is my 58th birthday Madagascar fundraiser.

Together, you my friends, over the last 3 years have helped me create and fund an English class on the remote island of Sainte Marie of the coast of Madagascar.

This project was designed by local people at the request of local people and for the benefit of local people who had no access to learning the English language and so to speak to the outside world.

With your help, we are now three years into our sell out class, with students making huge progress in line with their twice weekly commitment to learn.

We have helped to pay the wages of the local teacher, pay for the classroom, provide an English reading library, purchased English dictionaries for all students, run English writing competitions with prizes, provided English Christmas parties each year and now offering testing and certification so that students can prove their progress to prospective employers.
