Portuguese Hall and Band Defibrillators
Donation protected
Hey everyone!!!
As you may know, I did public CPR 2 different times and BOTH men non only survived but are doing well with no cardiac or neurological deficits. (If you haven't seen my video explanation, feel free to watch them on my IG = @68marcopolo, or watch it in my fB page = Marco Agraan)
The first time was during the 2013 Honolulu Marathon to a man named Brad Davis. He recovered and went on to complete 4 FULL MARATHONS after cardiac arrest.
The second was on June 9,2019 to a man named Henry Alvernaz while he was participating in a Portuguese Parade that went directly in front of my house when he went into cardiac arrest. He actually is able to go on his vacation to the Azores which he postponed to help participate in this parade. He's also set to retire soon and has a lot to look forward to in the future.
I should add that as a HUGE Kobe Bryant fan, it was no coincidence that BOTH times I did CPR, I was wearing Kobe gear. #mambamentality saves lives!!!
Early CPR and defibrillation also works and saves lives. So when I found out that the Portuguese Hall (SPHSS Portuguese Hall Sacramento) and the Portuguese Band (Filarmonica Recreio Do Emigrante Portuguese) didn't have defibrillators, I decided to share my stories and start a GoFundMe account to provide one for them.
Please help me reach my goal to provide such a great community of people these life-saving devices.
My hope is that they never have to use it. But if they do, and they save a live, you will have been a part of that.
Have a great day!
