Portsea to Apollo bay run for cancer

Gday everyone.

We're just two random blokes that want to make the slightest difference for the better and try to get the best out of ourselves. Every cent we make will go to cancer council victoria, which aims to reduce the impact of cancer in Victoria/Australia. It is an independent body that advises various groups, including the government, on cancer-related issues.

Who are we?Well, we are no one. Just two 17-year-old boys from Carrum downs, who enjoy their sport, Xander and his soccer and myself Jarrod I love my footy. We go to school together at Carrum downs secondary college and are completing year 11 vce. We are not the fittest of people ever but are willing to push ourselves further than the limit for a great cause

Jarrod: This is personally important for both Xander and me. My uncle has recently been diagnosed with throat cancer. Seeing the struggle, it puts everyone in my family through makes you think how many other families are battling the same problem daily and can't get help or can't get treatment. So it sucks and is a big issue that isn't talked about enough

Xander: Running and adventuring has played a significant role in my life. 42.2km is the furthest distance I've ever been, and I am excited to participate in this challenge. As well as Jarrod, my Uncle, has been diagnosed with bowel cancer, and this fundraiser will go towards awareness to get tested for this terrible disease and seek treatment for our beloved family members.
