Great News! Portraits of Love has been chosen to perform at the 2017 National Black Theatre Festival (NBTF) in Winston Salem, North Carolina for Four (4) Performances on the Main Stage July 31-August 5th!
I am Roxanne Reese, Award-winning Actress, Singer and Comedienne! Portraits of Love is my sincere expression of love, joy, friendship, and family! Through life affirming stories, soul stirring music, and outrageous humor I paint vivid portraits of people I've met and loved along my life's journey.
During my thriving tv and movie career I was stricken with health challenges and endured a major surgery that took me off the entertainment scene. After seven years I vowed to return to my true love -- live performance-- to give my audiences an exhilirating appreciation show that tells the perils of my journey! Portraits is my official COME BACK - MY PHOENIX RISING! Please help me get this jewel ready for the world stage at this prestigious event!
The NBTF thankfully offers a supportive package, however, due to my show requiring a four piece band, production crew, and preparation I need additional help to cover the following expenses:
Rental Rehearsal Space in Los Angeles
Airline tickets for (6) - only 50% is paid by festival
Per Diem for (6) for five days
Production Crew Compensation
Performing at the NBTF is a true honor for me! This is not only an opportunity to entertain again but also to inspire others to "get up and start over" and show gratitude in a rare artisitic form. I'm hoping for future bookings at churches, theaters, and colleges around the world.

Portraits of Love is a must see! This red-hot and sizzling production brings outright comedy, dramatic finesse' and jaw-dropping stories, where you will laugh, cry and feel the fire of her Love! It's an entertaining, often side-splitting funny and ultimately moving look at a life that's still a work in progress.
Goal:
To cover all necessary expenses for rehearsals, crew compensation, and travel to Winsotn Salem, NC so Portraits of Love is fully prepared to rock the National Black Theatre Festival!
