Help for Portia & Her Kids

Portia is one of my oldest friends, and she is in dire need of financial help. Portia has three beautiful children- twins Ashton and Enzo, and Zoe. She has full custody of all three children and unfortunately has been left alone to support and take care of them.
Due to Ashton and Enzo's frequent sezuires (including grand mal seizures,) which require frequent hospital trips, Portia is unable to keep any kind of regular schedule or employment. She is honestly one of the smartest and most hardworking people I know, and you can imagine how helpless she feels not having the ability to keep regular employment.
In addition to regular doctor visits and hospital trips, Portia has had to switch to homeschooling her sons, who both have autism, due to the improper care they were receiving at public schools. She fits in gigs as a house cleaner as often she can, but with a maximum income of $400 a month, this does not even cover her rent.
Recently Portia's car died. She usually saves money by working on her own vehicle, but this time the cost of parts to get her car back on the road is more than she can manage. It is imperative to the health of her children that she be able to drive them to the hospital when they have seisures. Getting ambulances every month is not an option.
Believe me when I say, Portia is doing everything she can to take care of her family. Anyone who has tried to navigate the state's bureaucracy to get financial help or educational help for kids with special needs knows how difficult and slow the process is. Right now we are focusing on the family's short term needs, in hope that there is a light at the end of this tunnel in the near future.
We set the goal at $5,000, which should be enough to get her car functional, pay rent for a month, pay overdue utility bills, and get Christmas presents for all three kids. Of course, they could use much more, and I would love to see this page raise enough money to see the family through to the new year. I am managing the fundraiser, but all funds will go directly to Portia to help with her family's expenses.
Again, Portia is an amazing friend and mother, and I am doing everything I can to help provide her family with some stability during this holiday season. No donation is too small, as each dollar will be well spent.
