Hi, my name is Brian Alvarado. I’m a photographer and videographer in the Southern California area. For those of you who know me, you know that my dog Porter is one of the most important things in my life. From the day I adopted him off of a random post on Craigslist when I was just a 20 year old kid, I knew he would change me and his mom Diane’s life forever. He’s everything you could have wanted in a dog. He’s obedient, he doesn’t bark much (unless you ask him to), he will sleep when you sleep, he won’t chew on various items in the house, he can do party tricks (he’s an awesome host), he’s not afraid of anything, and best of all, he knows how to be kind to all people and all animals.
Over the years, he’s taught me more lessons than I could’ve ever imagined, like how to be selfless. He taught me patience. He taught me love. He taught me how to be a good dad.
He’s always had a history of health issues, but recently, he’s been fighting for his life and we re trying to figure out why. He experienced a dramatic weight loss in recent weeks, and we are unsure of how much time he has left. He’s done a number of tests but to no avail, and it’s being recommended that he’s hospitalized along with further testing.
For everything that he’s given us and taught us over the years (he’s 8 years old), me and Diane and our families feel like we owe it to him to at least give him the chance to win this fight. As a local photographer and videographer (@visualsnipe on Instagram), I’m willing to exchange my services for any donations. Anything helps, even if it’s just a share of this link! We appreciate anything at all to give our pup one more shot at life and to be a big brother to his little bro Biggie. God bless.
If you’d like to make a donation to us directly using different platforms, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on Instagram @brianaustinalvarado @dianedearest.
