Hi, my name is Morgan Rue. As a lot of people know, my younger brother, Porter Rue, was in a wreck early Saturday morning. His car went off the road and struck a stump on the passenger side of the car, which made the car roll multiple times and catch on fire. He managed to pull himself out of the rear windshield with his leg on fire. An amazing citizen who noticed the wreck put the fire out on Porter and pulled him safely further from the car. He was intubated on the scene and care-flighted to a hospital in Fort Worth. He then had surgery on his leg to place a rod in for his compound femur fracture. He’s been on a ventilator due to damage to his lungs since. They are hoping to slowly take him off it soon as long as his lungs show improvement. He also has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his legs, which they keep monitoring.

We had people asking how they can help and asking about donating. We figured we would start one for the people that would like to help with the pile of medical bills coming our way! Porter was a hard-working man with a job working for a bucking bull stock contractor, and it’s now unknown when he’ll be able to return. Anything helps and we appreciate whatever you can help with, even if it’s just a prayer for him!
