Hi Everyone,

It breaks our hearts to have to be writing this. If you know Spencer and me, you know that Porter is the center of our universe. If you have met Porter, you know he is the sweetest boy in all the land. I know everyone's dogs are special, but Porter is a unicorn.

On Friday night, October 21st we rushed Porter to the emergency room. He was having trouble breathing, vomiting, dizzy, and could not move either of his back legs. It was the scariest night of our lives, and we are so thankful to the Access staff for immediately rushing to his aid. Porter is still in the hospital fighting for his life, and it is now Wednesday, the 26th. The vet bills have quickly stacked up, and we are financially maxed out. The vets believe porter needs a few more days of oxygen and antibiotics. If he were to be released right now, he would not be able to breathe on his own.

The vets believe he can come out of this and go on to live out the rest of his life. He is fighting so fiercely and is not ready to leave us just yet. He is having trouble walking on his own, but every time we visit, he tries so badly to stand up to go with us.
