Porter (P-Funk) Landrum needs our help and prayers! Anyone that has met Porter knows what a positive, happy, bright light he is! He is a loving husband, father and a great friend! He's also a talented musician and dancer. Porter loves life and living! Since Porter was a child he has suffered from back pain. As Porter got older his back pain got worse and worse. In mid March Porter was in such excruciating he could no longer work. He and his wife Jan found a doctor that accepted his insurance and wanted to do the major back surgery he's needed for so long. Porter finally had his surgery on April 29th. He was in the hospital over a week and then was sent home instead of rehab to recover. Porter was on the mend taking it day by day. This past weekend Porter was once again in excruciating pain. Jan called a ambulance and they got Porter to the hospital. Come to find out the doctor left a suture in and it has caused a horrible bacterial infection in Porter's blood. The infection has went to his brain and heart. On top of that he is now having kidney problems. Porter's wife is beside herself and overwhelmed. He is being treated for the infection and they fear he could now have sepsis and also pneumonia as well. He is having a procedure done tomorrow June 8th for his heart. We all love Porter and Jan. They have been vendors at The Beach Market at Coquina Beach for years. Anything will help we just want Porter healthy and happy again! I created this page so they can be comfortable because he has a long recovery ahead of him! We all love Porter and it's hard not seeing him at the market because he's such a bright light and beautiful soul! If you would like to make a donation on here please do!
