Donation protected
Portage Robotics students, the Porta-Botz!, have qualified World Robotics Championships in Dallas, TX. Now, they need your assistance for the opportunity to represent the Portage Community on the World stage!

Meet Team “Karma”: Max, Grant, Caitlyn, Ilija, and Sara. And, Team “Big Brained”: Trevor, Jimmy, Trevor, and Adrian. They qualified for the World tournament in Dallas from May 5th through the 8th via their State Championship Award and performances. Both teams are National Qualifiers and have won several awards throughout the season.

Since August, these kids have been working long hours after school and catching 5:00 AM bus rides to weekend tournaments with the goal of reaching Worlds. Now, it’s time to make this goal a reality!
This year, the 35 kids on the team did an amazing job fund-raising, generating enough funds to pay for seven robot teams, team registration fees, numerous tournament entry fees, expensive robotics equipment, and team apparel. With all the success the program has enjoyed this season, the budget is now exhausted. Being a non-profit group, the Robotics Booster Club is currently engaged in fundraising efforts to help provide this amazing World experience, but more help is needed.
The largest Robotics event in the World features thousands of robotic teams from numerous countries. The four-day event has a hefty price tag of $13,000 (Travel, Hotels, Transportation, Registration Fees, and Food). Any amount of financial backing will help make their dream come true.

Robotics is more than building and competing. Robotics develops skills students can use for life like; collaboration, communication, time management, planning, organization, creativity, problem solving, persistence, and resiliency. That is why the program’s mission statement is “Changing Lives, One Robot at a Time!” Now, you have the power change the lives of these kids. Please consider giving.

World T-shirts are being produced to commemorate their achievement.
Donors giving $100 or more will have their name listed on the back of the team’s World shirt.
Donors/Businesses contributing $500 will have a logo placed on the back of the World shirt.
100% of the funds raised will go directly to the students.

Please “share” and help us get the word out.
Thanks for your generous support. The Porta-Botz! hope to make you proud!
