Hi, my name is Andrea and I'm fundraising for a smaller portable oxygen concentrator for my child AJ and for freedom for the rest of our family. AJ is almost 4 and oxygen dependent 24 hours a day. He has been through much hardship in his life thus far, but is now thriving and wanting to do all things most four year old boys love. Being tied to a 35 plus pound concentrator that is not always reliable (and thus going everywhere with back up oxygen cylinders and batteries) is a big drag. AJ and his siblings love going out on adventures to nearby parks, forest preserves, etc. and would love to explore further in the future. AJ would love the freedom to carry his own equipment and enjoy everyday school without the current burden. Your contribution will help us purchase a SimplyGo oxygen concentrator (or very similar model) which can provide the type of oxygen he needs in a much more convenient form. (The less costly and super small models unfortunately don't provide continuous flow options). The funds will purchase the concentrator, extra batteries, and a warranty for repairs. This wish isn't just about AJ, but freedom for the family to enjoy adventures together without being limited to AJ's current insurance provided supplies. If anything is left over, it will go to a family adventure for AJ and his siblings to enjoy. The concentrator will be AJ's to keep if his living situation changes in the future.
