Port Vale - Stand Together
Donation protected
The Port Vale Supporters Club have created this Go Fund Me page to raise funds towards the completion of the Lorne Street concourse. This is in response to requests made by the supporters to see the Lorne Street stand finished and to show our appreciation and gratitude to the owners for saving Port Vale for the benefit of the community and future generations of Vale fans. The decision to initiate the fundraising campaign was voted on at the Supporters Club Meeting held on 27th February 2020.
The aim of the campaign is to raise £100,000 to complete the concourse behind the seating in Lorne Street that will be installed as part of the plans for hosting the Robbie Williams Concert.
Chairman of the port vale supporters club Mark Porter stated "This is a great opportunity for the port vale supporters to unite together and to raise money towards the completion of the Lorne Street stand that has stood partially finished for over 22 years. At the meeting on the 27th February, the vote was taken that we would raise funds towards the completion of the stand.
Over the last 20 years, the Supporters Club has been in conflict with the club, but we now have new owners and the club, the supporters and the community are now all united and working together for the benefit of the Vale".
If fans have any fundraising ideas, please email [email redacted].uk using the subject "Fund Raising Suggestion".
The Supporters Club will be working closely with the club and will release funds to the club in stages in order to support the work required. We will not be waiting to reach the target before passing the money to the club. There is no time limit to the campaign which will run for as long as donations are being received.
Should money in excess of that required to complete the concourse be received this will be passed to the club for them to use on priority projects, as they see fit. Similarly, if insufficient money is received to complete the concourse, and more urgent work is required, the club will be free to use the money donated towards this work.
Once a donation is received, there will be no repayments made, all money raised will go directly to the club. (Please note that there is a small fee deducted from each donation (2.9%+25p) by Go Fund Me which covers their costs. If you do not want to donate using Go Fund Me page and pay directly to the fund by bank transfer, please email [email redacted].uk and we will send you the account details.
This an opportunity to show our gratitude to the Shanahans for saving the Vale and in turn help them to move the club forward.
Thank you all - Port Vale Supporters Club.
