PORT is facing an urgent, time-sensitive challenge.

Due to sudden zoning changes in Springboro, we must relocate from our current Bunnell Hill Road facility immediately—and we need to raise $10,000 by December 15th to secure, prepare, and safely move into a new building so we can continue saving lives.

This deadline is non-negotiable. Without meeting this goal, we will lose the ability to operate at the lifesaving capacity our community and the animals rely on.

But with your support, we can open our new home—and continue saving the dogs no one else will.

Who We Are: Not Your Average Animal Rescue

Pets of Ohio Rescue Team (PORT) pioneers innovative, compassionate programs that save the animals most at risk of euthanasia. In just one year, we have:

• Saved 462 animals (primarily medium and large dogs—those most overlooked and most at risk)

• Achieved 385 live outcomes

• Maintained a 95% save rate, extraordinary for a rescue that takes on the toughest medical and behavioral cases

• Done all of this with zero paid staff, an entirely volunteer team, and no permanent facility

• Veterinary guidance

• Safe rehoming alternatives

• Crisis mitigation

Most surrenders are preventable. PORTAL keeps families together and pets out of shelters.
