This has been a very traumatic experience for us. José is currently recovering from back surgery and has not been given any medical attention since his detention. The agents showed no regard for his condition. During the incident, they sped off with him without closing the door or fastening his seatbelt, causing him to be thrown out of the car when they turned the corner. When I tried to intervene, the agents physically hurt me as well, and I had to go to the hospital to get checked out. We are raising funds to cover the medical expenses.
