Hi, I'm Leilani... I'm 16 weeks pregnant. I haven't been able to get any tests done other than the first ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy. Everything was going well until I lost my job. I have no support now; I don't have health insurance because I'm unemployed, and the costs are very high. I went to a doctor's appointment, and they told me something isn't right. I've had severe pain and cramps, and I've also started having discharge from one nipple. That's not considered healthy, as it can induce miscarriage or labor. I managed to save up for a doctor's appointment, but they're asking me to have ultrasounds and other tests to rule out placental abruption. I know many people have expenses, and if I can't support a family, why have one? But I didn't expect to be unemployed, and I was doing well. Sometimes life makes you feel stable, then suddenly throws you off. I'm very sorry to do this, but I have no choice. I have to save up before week 18 to get the tests done. Otherwise, it might be too late, or if I do manage to carry the pregnancy to term, the baby might have birth defects. Thank you and I'm very sorry.
