Historias que quisiéramos que nunca existieran…

Hoy te presento la historia de mi amiga, una mujer de 32 años, llena de vida, de sueños, de fuerza.

Una mujer que ha trabajado incansablemente para salir adelante en este país, que ha criado sola a su hijo, siendo madre y padre a la vez.

Una mujer que, a pesar de sus propias batallas, nunca ha dejado de sonreír, de tender la mano, de ser apoyo para otros.

Pero hoy la vida le ha puesto la batalla más dura:

Un cáncer agresivo, silencioso, que llegó sin avisar y ya ha hecho metástasis.

Un diagnóstico que duele más que el cuerpo, porque viene acompañado de miedo, incertidumbre, soledad… y una montaña de obstáculos.

Ella está sola en este país,

sin familia,

sin apoyo del gobierno por su estatus migratorio,

y con una carga aún más dolorosa:

el padre de su hijo está detenido por inmigración,

y ahora ella debe enfrentarlo todo… absolutamente sola.

Es imposible imaginar el miedo que puede sentir una madre al no saber si estará para su hijo, si podrá seguir cuidándolo, abrazándolo, viéndolo crecer.

Hoy, más que nunca, necesitamos corazones dispuestos a ayudar.

Tu aporte, por pequeño que parezca, puede ser un salvavidas.

Una esperanza.

Un mensaje claro de que no está sola, de que hay gente buena allá afuera que sí se detiene a sentir, a mirar, a tender la mano.

An aggressive, silent cancer that appeared without warning and has already metastasized.

A diagnosis that hurts more than the body — it hurts the soul.

It brings fear, loneliness, and a mountain of challenges.

She is alone in this country,

without family,

without government assistance due to her immigration status,

and with an even heavier burden:

her son’s father is currently detained by immigration.

Now, she must face everything… completely alone.

It’s impossible to imagine the fear a mother feels not knowing if she’ll be there for her child.

If she’ll be able to keep caring for him, hugging him, watching him grow.

Today, more than ever, we need hearts willing to help.
