Our sister Maria Magdalena Pinto Parra, thank to God had her first baby a month ago who named Giovanna. We consider it was a miracle. Unfortunately, in the process of recovering from her surgery, a Peritonitis (Typically caused by bacterial infection after rupture of an abdominal organ) presented to her, which produced a Septic Shock and she had to go through a Laparoscopy Process of the peritoneal cavity, extracting 105 fluid ounces of fetid Pus and fecal material. In the intraoperative period she was hemodynamically unstable, and then immediately after the postoperative period, our sister was sent to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in critical conditions, she was intubated in frank septic shock (Severe sepsis, in which the blood pressure and the organs fail to receive sufficient oxygen). For that reason, she had to be connected to a mechanical ventilation with a prognosis reserved due to the presence of refractory shock. She has been in the ICU since July 13th, 2020 at the Clinica Venezuela in the city of Valencia, Carabobo State in Venezuela. Since that day, all of her relatives have done what is humanly possible to cover the expenses, but it has not been enough. At this time, we need the collaboration of everyone to support our sister to ensure that she would be able to be continue treated and with the bless of God, we hope she will get out of the situation that she has been going through now and hopefully she would be able to be with her beloved baby who needs her so much.
