Hello my name is Libre..

this means free in Spanish....

......as I was growing up I
thought my name meant that I was free to be and do what ever I
wanted , but as I got older I realized that it wasn't about me, but more about helping others,so I decided to help horses because here in
Uruguay most horses are worked to death or sent to the Mataderos
(slaughterhouse). So, I created a horse sanctuary where we rescue and
receive all types of horses most of which are sick,mistreated or very
old. Many even babies who have lost their mothers due to the ongoing, garbage cart-pulling slavery that
still runs rampant in our cities.

Right now we need immediate help because of a severe drought and the
combination of unemployment and zero donations that used to sustain us.
We have used up all our savings and need help to feed several horses every day to get them through the fall and winter or unfortunately they will starve and die.

Hopefully by next spring we will be able to get back on track.

Until then we desperately need help and any little penny counts .

Thanks to everyone who at least took the time to read this and maybe
can share it with people who can support us with the care for these gentle beings in this difficult time.

Your help will make the difference between life and death for these old horses that deserve to live the rest of their days healthy and happy... we're only asking for what we need to get us through the winter, nothing more. But of course any extra helps in these uncertain times. And we'd be delighted to welcome you in to be part of the family and

world, that we feel is about as close to Horse Narnia as you can get...

We know the planet is under immense stress and we are doing our very best to help remediate some of
that suffering.
