Él es Nelson un hombre luchador de 72 años, padre, amigo y abuelo ejemplar que toda su vida ha trabajado para el bienestar de su familia, fué diagnosticado hace unos 3 meses con Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda, lo que desgraciadamente ha estado avanzando de manera rápida y agresiva. Adicional a esto, padece de insuficiencia renal e hipertensión arterial por lo que complica todo su cuadro de salud.

Al empezar con fé su primer tratamiento de quimioterapia presentó una reacción en sus piernas donde ha perdido progresivamente la movilidad de ellas, siendo entonces diagnosticado con paraplejia y polineuropatía de extremidades inferiores. Sin embargo, su deseo de luchar es inmenso y para darle una oportunidad de vida debe continuar su tratamiento de quimioterapia, fisioterapia e inmunoglobulina pero, el seguro de salud ya no cubre los gastos y está ahora en el "período de espera", las facturas corren y la situación económica de la familia se ha ido poniendo más difícil y sobre todo impotente debido a los altos gastos que han tenido con todo el proceso y los muy altos costos que tienen los tratamientos, terapias, medicinas e internamientos...
