Pops' Memorial Tree Bench

It is with deep sadness I announce the recent passing of my Dad
As many of you know, I have been my Dad's carer for the last decade. His health quickly declined from 2023 and he would then go on to spend much of the remainder of his life in and out of hospital. I chose to minimise my work and life commitments so I could spend this time with my Dad. I can not put into words the loss I feel. But I would love to remember him alive and happy. He loved to garden, he was raised by the sea and so in his memory, I would love to plant a tree or bench so that in some small way, he will be forever be with me. I hope that others will take shelter under his tree, enjoy the sunshine seated on his bench and take a moment to appreciate living
His life regrets (and there were many) are my life lessons. He use to tell me to live life, to find love, to start a family, to spend time with my friends, to travel, to stop worrying about money, to really live life. He told me to pursue happiness, to be happiness, so I will try.
Do not stand
By my grave, and weep.
I am not there,
I do not sleep—
I am the thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints in snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle, autumn rain.
As you awake with morning’s hush,
I am the swift, up-flinging rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight,
I am the day transcending night.
Do not stand
By my grave, and cry—
I am not there,
I did not die.
Instead of funeral flowers, my brothers and I would be really grateful if you donated to a memorial for our Pops
