Imagine losing your father at an early age and living in a group home for years. Losing the people that mattered to you most and having to figure out life with no direction. Going through so much adversity as a child could definitely harden the heart of anyone. 

Not Pops. Pops was determined to defy adversity. No matter what problems or turmoil came his way. He faced it head on and he faced it with a smile. Giving his only son everything he never had. Without having a road map to show him fatherhood, Pops became the greatest father you could ever imagine. 

Not only did Pops do everything he could for his own child, he became a father figure to many. MMA fight? He was there. Tournament? He was there. Wedding? He wouldn’t miss it for the world. If there was one person you could count on, it was Pops. It didn’t matter if he knew you for years or met you that same day, he made you feel like family and he left his mark on you forever. 

Not many people have such a huge heart after great loss. Not many people have so much love to give and are so loved in return. Pops was rare and special. There’s not a person alive who knew Pops that didn’t have love and respect for him. 

Pops passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening with his son by his side. We know Pops would never ask for a thing from anyone. But this is our last chance to do something for the man who would be there for anyone no questions asked. So I’m asking you all, let’s come together for Pops one last time and give him a proper send off to that final resting place in the sky.
