Hi, I’m Poppy’s mum and she was recently diagnosed with an horrible autoimmune disease which affects both her skin and fur. As a result, she is basically going bald leaving the skin thick and covered in horrible scabs. Sadly it appears that once the fur has been lost, it doesn’t grow back. The solution for this is two tablets a day which help to clear up the scabs and slow any further inflammation and slowing down and in some areas, halting the spread completely. Sounds good right? Unfortunately, these amazing tablets have a huge cost implication. Currently, they are £3 per tablet which equals a costs on average of £600 every month for the rest of her life. While Poppy is 14 she (and I) feel that she not yet ready for “that” decision to be made. Apart from this recent issue she’s full of life and loves her food, especially jelly babies lol.

I’m not asking for a huge amount, in fact anything is welcome. We just need enough to give us a couple of months breathing space so we can with our vet, look at some other options without compromising the current treatment.
