People who know me know that I hate asking for help, let alone for money. Unfortunately this whole process with Poppy has been very expensive (but worth it). A little back story: I have had her since she was a puppy. I adopted her from my first tech job at Webster. She was a little sick puppy then, and we nursed her back to health (I have had her as long as I have been in vet med). Fast forward to now, she has been on and off sick and we could not figure out what is wrong with her. Countless visit to the vet later, she had to be admitted for hospitalization and ended up being transferred for emergency surgery. They removed a mass that had ruptured her intestines, causing her to be septic. She made it through and it recovering well. They found out from the mass the she has a form of cancer called lymphoma. I have elected to do further testing like they have recommended and figure out how aggressive the cancer is. Based off of that, they will refer me to the oncologist for next steps. Again, I hate asking for money, but anything would be appreciated. She is my soul dog and I am just trying to get answers and keep her comfortable
