Meet little Poppett , a tiny 3 kilo toy poodle who, at 5 years old, has endured more than her fair share of goodness knows what!!

She was sold as a pup from the Breeder only to be returned after a couple of years apparently due to domestic violence .

Poppett was surrendered to Ozzihearts4paws pet rescue on the 22nd of March this year, she is terrified of people even though shes been in care 8 weeks now! She so happy to see her carer but is just not confident enough to cross that barrier yet !

As you can see she has her tongue hanging out, that's because she has no teeth left!

When we put her in for desexing, here’s where the problems really start to emerge , she had one upper canine left in her head at 5 years old which was infected and of course had to be removed.

Half of one side of her lower jaw is completely missing! She had a dead puppy inside and puss and fluids had to be syringed out before her uterus could be removed, part of the uterus was adhered to her bladder, so a portion was left as it was to risky to remove

So she came home and recovered really quickly considering.

We didn't put her up for adoption yet because she just was still to timid .

About a week ago we noticed her either having difficulty weeing and then pooing, so back to the vet we go!

It was discovered that the tissue still attached to the bladder has now filled back up with this horrible syrupy fluid again and it's getting quite large, it's impacting on her colon and bladder and while she is only just managing at the moment she cant keep going like this.

Terrigal vet have been absolutely amazing in helping little Poppett , but this is a very specialised area, thankfully Dr Dan who is our orthopaedic surgeon, working with Terrigal Vet is going to do the surgery.

The extent of the damage is not known until we go in .

We want to give Poppett every chance she deserves to be adopted by a loving family and experience the love and security of a warm lap and cuddles, please help her achieve this She's just such a bright happy little button.
