Poppa Stewey's Eatery

Let us introduce you to a Blackstone legend...Stewey Holbrook, the owner of Poppa Stewey's Eatery.  Stewey has been in the restaurant and catering business for 62 years, starting when he was 15 years old.  He has been serving up meals to the town of Blackstone at 148 Main Street for 46 years.  And then Covid-19 hit and brought unprecedented times, even for a veteran like Stewey, who has never missed a day of work.  Due to new regulations handed down by the state and local governments, Poppa Stewey's was forced to close its doors and make extensive and costly renovations to be able to remain in business.  This diner is Stewey's livelihood and legacy and both are at risk.  Local establishments and the faces behind them are what make a community.  They support us through the years and now there is an opportunity to return the favor by offering support to an establishment and individual that has served the Blackstone community for more than half his life.  Please consider a donation to help reopen Poppa Stewey's Eatery and allow Stewey to get back to doing what he does best -- feeding his community.  Any donation amount will be greatly appreciated.
