Hi, my name is Petros and I am raising funds for my aunt Popi in Agia Galini, Crete.

Popi is 70 years old and has a huge heart for animals. It all started with just a few cats, but over time, the number has grown steadily because people in the area simply drop off cats at her home—sometimes even anonymously—knowing that Popi won't turn them away. She is currently providing a safe haven for 30 rescued cats. Even though Popi is facing health challenges of her own and her pension barely covers her own living expenses, she works tirelessly every day to ensure that no animal goes hungry.

Why I am starting this campaign:

Popi’s pension is simply no longer enough to cover the food costs for these 30 cats during the winter months. Our immediate priority is to ensure that all 30 cats have enough to eat every single day. In the summer, tourists help out, but now that the village is quiet, she is struggling to keep up with the expenses. Since Popi doesn't use the internet, I am organizing this campaign on her behalf. I personally guarantee that 100% of the funds will be sent to Popi to pay for their daily food. (We are currently looking into separate, long-term solutions for medical care and neutering).

Obwohl Popi gesundheitlich angeschlagen ist und ihre Rente kaum ausreicht, um ihren eigenen Lebensunterhalt zu bestreiten, setzt sie jeden Tag alles daran, dass kein Tier hungrig bleiben muss.

Warum ich diesen Aufruf starte:

Popis Rente reicht einfach nicht mehr aus, um diese stetig wachsende Gruppe zu versorgen. Unser oberstes Ziel ist es jetzt, sicherzustellen, dass die Katzen jeden Tag genug zu essen haben. Während im Sommer noch Touristen helfen, ist Agia Galini im Winter leergefegt und Popi kann die Futterkosten für 30 Katzen nicht mehr allein tragen. Da Popi selbst kein Internet nutzt, übernehme ich die Organisation hier für sie. Ich garantiere, dass jeder gespendete Euro zu 100% bei Popi ankommt und direkt für den täglichen Futterbedarf verwendet wird. (Langfristige Lösungen für medizinische Versorgung und Kastrationen gehen wir in einem zweiten Schritt an).
