Popcorn's Challenge
Donation protected
One of the nicest guys that I and many of you know needs our help. Mike "Popcorn" Bourgeois has sadly been diagnosed with ALS. I won't use this space to describe this horrible disease in detail but it is a progressive and fatal disease with no known cure. If interested you can find more information at the ALS Association website .
To help make Mike and Tracy's life a little easier, their house needs to be remodeled to make it more accessible for Mike's needs - now and in the future.
Anyone who is lucky enough to call Mike a friend knows that he is one of the most selfless guys you will ever meet - whatever we do here is nothing compared to what he would do for any of his friends in the same situation. Anyone who knows Mike and Tracy also knows how proud they are. They are not asking for this money. I am asking for them - they didn't even know it was being set up for them. They are givers and not takers so they would never think to ask for help but they need it.
Please give what you can - no amount is too small. I know times are tough so if you can't give you can still help by sharing this site with anyone you know who will help. Anything you can give or anything you do will be immensely appreciated by Mike, Tracy, their kids and anyone who loves that crazy family.
To be honest, I don't even know if the goal for this aid request is the right amount. If anything, I think it is too low but we need to start somewhere. Please know that any money that Mike or Tracy are gifted but don't use will be donated to Compassionate Care ALS so we can help other families dealing with this horrible disease.
No matter what you decide to do, thank you for taking the time to read this.
