Pop Wheelies, Not Percocet

Fourteen year old Chris was out riding his new bike with friends on a Long Island street when two men in a SUV approached them. The two men shouted some explicit words at the boys before chasing the boys down through a busy parking lot. They called out to the boys as they pretended to stop the chase, and when the boys thought they were in the clear, the SUV had an opening. The men then plowed into Chris, throwing him from his bike and then backed up over him before taking off, nearly hitting other families in the process. 

Chris was brought to the hospital where he needed emergency surgery on a wound in his thigh that cut down to the bone, nearly severing an artery. Between the damage to his leg, along with a broken collar bone, it looks like a long road to recovery for Chris. 

When speaking with “Little Friend” as his cousins call him, he was in physical pain... but the physical pain hurt little in comparison to the devastating loss of his new bicycle. Christopher spent most of the past year doing chores and saving every penny of his allowance, and spent the entire summer in Tennessee working at his grandparents home and office to earn enough money to afford his bike, a SE Beast Mode ‘Money Lynch’ ripper. 

The police are claiming this was an accident caused by a distracted driver, despite video surveillance proving otherwise and despite testimony of his friends and many eye witnesses. We are pursuing legal action. We would love to be able to afford a new bike for Chris, with any additions he installed, as well as cover fees for his attorney. Any additional funds raised will be put towards his increasingly excessive medical bills. 

Please help us to get Chris the justice he deserves and let’s get him back on the road for Christmas! 14 year old riders should be popping wheelies, not pain killers!!! Much love and appreciation.
