Help Poor Villages; Flooding, Landslides-Vietnam

Hello everyone, my name is Mimi. I’m writing in hoping to request help for the poor villages in Vietnam. I have witnessed these events in my childhood years so I understand how desperately these families are in need of your helping hands. Every year my family & I can only donate so much; We will also donate to buy food & clothes this year to help, but that’s not enough to help ALL the villages whose fighting through this flood, landslides & storms. Together we can join force to do something good for these villages. Every dollars I received, will go towards buying food and goods to give back to these villagers.

IN NEED OF HELPING HANDS: The recent Flooding, Landslides, Storms and Wind in Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Kon Tum, and Gia Lai... causing blackouts to over 200,000 families, damages many homes and causing hundreds of citizens to evacuate. Authorities had to deploy specialized vehicles, including boats, to evacuate citizens to safer areas.

The flooding was worsened Friday night by high tides in the central stretch from Thua Thien Hue to Phu Yen provinces, including Da Nang. Many residents who have lived in Da Nang for 30+ years said it was the worst flooding they had ever seen, with floodwaters rising very fast and widespread.

Kỳ Sơn District has suffered from two floods. The severe one in the early morning of October 2 killed one person and damaged 232 houses, including 55 which were swept away. In one night, many ppl lost everything but their lives. In addition, hundreds of families lost property. The flood caused severe damages and homes are covered in rocks and soil. Roofs were ripped from houses and areas were left without electricity.

I want to reach out to see if anyone would donate and help these unfortunate villagers. If each of us donate a small amount of $1, $10, &20..., we can try to help as many people as we could during this difficult time. The goal is to give each residents $25-$50 worth of food to help them get by while they clean up, repair and rebuild their homes. I truly appreciate your kindness. Thank you!
