This is Fadhil Abbas, an Iraqi child from the holy city of Karbala, Iraq. Fadhil was born with a Proximal Focal Femoral defect. He was unable to walk or stand since birth.  At the age of 3, Fadhil underwent surgery in india, but the deformity was not corrected. 
Like any other 10 year old, Fadhils dream is simple. He just wants to get up and be able to play soccer with his brothers. His father is working but unable to come up with the funds to cover the surgery. He has applied for a government loan 3 years in a row with no luck,  as thats their only hope to get their son the surgery he desperatly needs. It is so hard for him to see his son suffering and not be able to do anything about it. after recent X-Rays, the doctors informed Fadhils father that the progression of the deformaty is excellerating more than expected. They also informed him that he is running out of time, and if the surgery is not done within a year, it might be too late. The surgery and post-op care along with travel expences will cost around $ 10, 000. I would really like to raise at least some of that amount, but anything will help.
