Hello! I am organizing a March Madness Bracket Pool Fundraiser on behalf of John Whooley, a guy who some people call Dad, husband, father-in-law, brother, uncle, or cousin, but almost EVERYONE calls Jay (even his grandkids, Rory and Jack!). He is my best friend Cassy's dad and has been my parents' next-door neighbor for over 30 years.

Jay suffered a stroke on January 8. The Whooleys have fought through ups and downs since then, including seven long weeks in the ICU. The road ahead will still be difficult, but being the tough Irish Bostonian he is, Jay's persevering through the challenge.

Speaking of challenge—as March Madness is right around the corner, and the name Jay Whooley is sort of synonymous with basketball, what better way to support the Whooley family than with a bracket pool?! Please consider making a suggested donation of $20.00 to enter the "Pooley for Whooley"!

After donating, you will receive two emails from GoFundMe. The first email will have the subject line, "Thank you for your donation to Pooley for Whooley" and will contain your receipt. The second email will have the subject line, "A Thank You Note from Emily". This email will contain a link to join the pool on cbssports.com. Then, make your picks (or, if you're like me, let the computer do it for you!) by 12:00 PM (EST) on March 20th.

There will be cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Prizes will be sent via Zelle or Venmo.
