Hi, my name is Nicole J. Georges. I am a cartoonist, a pet portrait artist and I truly love animals. This GoFundMe campaign is to help with an incredible veterinary bill.
My young rescue dog, Ponyo, suddenly went blind last month. The only remedy to this blindness was a special surgery in Seattle, and in order to restore vision in even one eye, I had to make the decision immediately.
I closed my own and jumped.
Thankfully, the retinal reattachment surgery was a big success, and she has vision in one eye!
The bill for this miracle was astronomical, the largest of my canine-having life, and I am here to ask if you would please consider donating, or purchasing a tote bag, to benefit the dear dog and her ongoing journey to see.
All funds will go directly into Ponyo's vision fund.
Ponyo spreads joy to the world. She is a very sweet creature with an enormous patience for strangers, children, and the elderly. I look forward to taking her along with me for more animal adventures, with or without her Elizabethan Cone.
