Pontblyddyn Cricket Club member and 3rd XI chief sledger, Ian White, has decided to take on the highest bungee jump in the UK – mainly because he’s bonkers and just likes the thrill of the ground racing towards his forehead at a rapid rate of knots. But; he wants to use his adrenalin-junkie tendencies to good effect and raise some funds in aid of our awesome club.

He’s all booked in with the UK Bungee Club to jump at Tatton Park on Sunday 19 April – at 14.00. Whilst jumping 300ft from a crane isn’t everyone’s idea of a relaxing Sunday, Ian seems very excited! It will be approximately 20 minutes for him to get up and about 4 seconds to get down!

Whilst we’re expecting wall-to-wall sunshine and perfect conditions for the jump – as is the norm in the North-West – the jump might be postponed in the event of high winds or storms - as was the case back in October when attempt number 1 had to be cancelled. If this does happen, Ian will still aim to complete the jump at the earliest available alternative…

Ian has paid for the jump himself, so 100% of funds raised will be injected directly into the club’s accounts via this platform. The current fundraising efforts will support the ongoing full clubhouse refurbishment and facilities upgrade – to benefit our players, junior teams, loyal supporters – and local community members who often use the clubhouse for their own functions.

Feel free to join him at Tatton Park – plenty of jumping slots are still available for the intrepid amongst you – but a few friendly faces and encouraging words would be well received. There will be lots of catering facilities and other activities and amenities available at Tatton Park as part of the event
